About Rijksoverheid

The Tax and Customs Administration is the largest employer of accountants and tax professionals in the Netherlands. Hundreds of auditors conduct thousands of fiscal audits annually. These can be office audits, but also book audits or business audits. The work of our tax professionals is often an extension of societal and political developments. This makes their work intrinsically unique.

As a tax professional or accountant, your work really matters and you contribute to a financially healthy Netherlands.

Depending on your experience, you can work at the Directorate of Private Individuals, the Directorate of Small and Medium Businesses, or the Directorate of Large Enterprises.

As a tax professional you can work as a handler of objections and appeals, or as a receiver (tax collection). As an accountant, you can work as an auditor or tax / control specialist, but also as a team manager or client coordinator.
